Collaborating at Work

"A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives."

  • Be part of a movement: Join a passionate community working towards a brighter digital future for Africa.

  • Share the success: AfroCom is committed to fair distribution of benefits with its co-creators.

Together, let's co-create a better digital world for all.

Co-founder

As a global citizen, shaped by my Ghanaian and Nigerian roots, and grateful to live in the AU, EU, and US

My work has always been driven by a desire to create a better world, with a special focus on Africa. This passion is what led me with others to co-create AfroCom. Through this platform, I hope to connect Africans around the globe, promote well-being, and create a space for collective progress within the continent and beyond

While I value my simple and laid-back personality, I also have a strong desire to connect with others.

Governance

Board of Directors

AfroCom Coop’s board of directors is composed of nine (9) members (the founder, four (4) collaborators, two (2) investors, and  two (2) public)  either elected by the members at a general meeting or appointed by the chairperson (founder)

The election of the board will be conducted in the second general meeting - thus two years from the date of incorporation. In the meantime, the founder will take charge of all board-related matters and appoint temporary directors if needed.

Supervisory Committee

AfroCom Board and general assembly will appoint a Supervisory Committee. The Committee is composed of at least five (5) persons with its constituency mentioned in the by-law. On voluntary basis, retiring Board members can opt to be supplemented as needed by other Board members as decided by the Board, and will be gender-balanced.

Regional Directors

Regional Directors are the Chief Executive Officers of the regions, accountable to the elected

bodies of the region and responsible for the leadership and efficient management of the

regional organisation.
